Something for Everyone!

Markets on the Eastside!

If you’re tired of the same old high street names, then Eastside is the place for you. It’s home to a huge range of independent shops, many selling products you won’t find anywhere else in the city.

You can find that vital ingredient with specialist grocery shops selling food from every continent. There’s also imported fabric, clothes and jewellery as well as black hair and beauty products.

Revivals!

Stapleton Road

Two of Eastsides streets; Stapleton Road in Easton and Picton Street in Montpelier are currently enjoying a revival. Both were formerly hugely important trading arteries to Bristol but had fallen out of favour. In recent years however, they have begun a return to their former glory.

Head down to Picton Street for ethical wares at Seven Generations, the brilliant Licatas Italian deli, gorgeous organic food and funky vintage bargains for discerning fashionistas!

Stapleton Road in Easton houses too many businesses to mention here! Head over there for Bristols top fresh fish shop: Toveys, Black & Afro Carribbean book specialists, BRB and a host of fashion and beauty emporiums nestling between cafes and restaurants featuring food from around the world...

Markets

Summer time in Eastside is Street Party time! On the Eastside, where there\\\'s a party - there\\\'s a market and the streets are full of stalls selling everything from henna tattoos to fresh food to arts and crafts! Markets are a great way to mingle and meet the local faces. Look out especially for the World on Our Doorstep Festival on Stapleton Road in June and the famous St Marks Road Street Party in August!
