Eastside has plenty of places to spend free time if you don’t fancy shopping. As well as green spaces including the award-winning St Agnes Park and adventure playgrounds in Easton and St Pauls, why not visit St Werburghs City Farm – a green oasis in the inner city with livestock, community gardens, an adventure playground and café.
For the sporty people there’s Bristol Climbing Centre – one of the UK’s leading indoor climbing centres based in a disused church in St Werburghs. Eastside is also home to St Pauls Sports Academy, which opened in Spring 2003 and boasts a multipurpose indoor hall, floodlit outdoor courts and a fully equipped fitness centre, as well as the newly refurbished Easton Leisure Centre.
